Christmas in Granbury

We were busy busy this weekend celebrating at Gigi and papas. We started praying Friday night with the immediate Parsons family- Gigi papa Chelsea Brent Brady and Kylee. Jude and Brady got so many fun presents and toys! They both got a Mickey Mouse chair. So now Jude has two! Hehe got to love everyone shopping at kohls for Christmas gifts. It's just such a cute chair who can pass it up! They also got a train set that they love! We opened Brady's up and they both had a blast playing with it. It was so fun to watch Brady and Jude play together. They are going to be such great pals! They were running around the island in the kitchen giggling and chasing after each other. Then papa dressed up like Santa. It was a great night!

Saturday we woke up and started getting ready for Rustys side of the family to get here. We prepared a memory book to give to Maw Maw that she really enjoyed. 

Sunday was with the Mullins family. Sheila is such a great hostess and had everything so nice each party. Sooo much yummy food and a lot of fun! We even played a game where you had to open up a present while having oven nits on. It was so funny! 

Christmas at home

Christmas Eve Gigi and Daddy John came to spend the night. We made grilled pork chops and went to church.

 One of Ryan's friends from work came over and joined us. Christmas morning we woke up and Santa had come! Wrote Jude a letter and everything!! Jude is special! :-) Jude's favorite toy was a toy that you hit the balls in the hole with a hammer that Santa gave him. Juders had a fu morning! 

Christmas in Southlake

Most of my pictures are on the actual camera. I didn't take many on my phone but here are a few. We got so many presents and are so blessed in so many ways! We played spades and ate lots of food. Katie had very bad luck while we played games and everyone who was her partner was so confident the would win... But they lost. :-( it was fun though and I was impressed with how she handled herself with each loss. We are all growing up. Clark played with us a couple of hands and it was really fun! I love my sweet family! 

On Thursday night we went to eat at On The Border and the. Were going to go to Prairie Lights but the line was rediculous. So instead we drove around Southlake. We saw some beautiful lights and some inspiration for next year. This year we didn't really decorate :-( but next year.. We will!!

Friday morning we woke up and got ready to take a McCoy family photo. They turned out so good! 

Christmas at Maw Maws

Maw Maw had a very special visitor! Santa!! We had so much fun with the Clark Family! It's always so fun to get together with everyone! Jude was not quite sure what to think of this Santa. His first Santa picture was good because mom was ticking him (see picture from gingerbread house) but this time he was a little confused! Haha. Especially when he say mama kissing Santa clause! :-) 

Jude and Leah had a great time playing with Jude's dollar gift from target! Ha oh the little things.. 

Using a spoon

Learning how to use a spoon is a hard task. He wants to do it all on his own but keeps dropping the food. It makes me laugh. He'll get it soon enough and be a pro in no time! 

Santa and Gingerbread Houses

Santa and Gingerbread Houses! 

We had so much fun going to the Worlds Largest Gingerbread House! We even got to see Santa!! The outside of the house was completely made out of candy. And then on the inside were smaller houses made by some students at Brazos Christian. Jude enjoyed looking at all the houses and candy. He also did pretty well with Santa. That is after I started tickling him. He wasn't too sure when I first put him in his lap but I think that would have happened no matter who I would have given him to. I then went and ticketed him and I think we got some great pictures! 

Jude's 1!!!

I can't believe my sweet boy is 1 year old! Man how this first year has flown by. I am so thankful and so blessed to be able to stay home with him. We are so thankful for a hard working dad who let's us play! We have filled our days with friends, errands and cleaning. Jude has even started pulling his weight around here by helping pick up his toys. He also is helping clear out the fridge and 'pantry'. Yes pantry is in quotes because we technically do not have one. He loves to eat! 

His birthday party was so special to me. We had several family members make the trip to Bryan and some friends from church came too. It was a beautiful day and we got to hang out outside the majority of the party. We ate cake and opened presents out there too. 

Jude has began to call asleep on his own and sleep all night!! Naps are much easier and longer. I lay him down when he is still awake say goodnight and I love you. He has to move around a little to get comfy but then he is out. I'm so proud of him. He's just growing up! 

Oh what fun he is and will continue to be! Two... Here we come! 

Jude's 1st thanksgiving

This photo says it all! Jude loves to eat so I wouldn't be surprised if Thanksgivibg becomes his favorite holiday! :-)

It was so wonderful to be with family this week! This year our family has grown and it's such a wonderful thing! 

Here's Jude and Ryan with our newest member Kylee. We also got to see big brother Brafy. Jude and Brady are SO fun to watch! 

Looking forward to Christmas and many more family holidays and get togethers. Including Jude's first birthday.... TOMORROW!!!!

New car

We got a new car!!! Finally!!! Yay!!! It's so nice and what we wanted! I'm so excited :-) 

Jude got a new car seat too. So he's figuring that out. Such a big boy!!

Trip to The Woodlands with Grammy

Grammy fed Jude too many nilla wafers... This is what you cal comfortable and full!!! 

Leah's birthday was so fun. So much yummy food and I always love seeing family!

Galveston

So this post is a little late.. But I still wanted to get it on here! Jude Ryan and I went to Galveston last weekend. We left on Saturday and went shopping! Jude got some new shoes and wears them proudly! And dad got some new clothes for work and wears those proudly too!  Ryan and I both got new sunglasses and we were ready for the beach! 

When we got to galveston we went to bubba gumps. The food was so good! Jude loved the shrimp! He has become such an eater. He will eat anything that we are eating. Especially if he can feed it to himself! When we were leaving Jude was having a hard time walking down the slope. I don't think he has ever walked down a slope or a hill before that so he kept on falling. It was so cute watching Ryan and Jude holding hands as they walked down the hill. 

We got to stay in the Moody Gardens Hotel which was so nice! On Sunday we woke up, got all dressed and ready for the beach and then went outside. Where we realized it was cold and very windy! There was no going to the beach that day. We were both so sad because we really wanted to go to the ocean. So instead we went to the hotel pool. On the outside it seemed liked the water was warm but when you got in it was cold. It was an indoor pool so at least we didn't have to worry about the wind but jude still wasn't too crazy about the water because it was cold. When we were finishing up swimming Grammy and Pawpaw showed up! They had just gotten back from their cruise and were joining us to go to Moody Gardens. Jude loves Moody Gardens! He enjoys watching all of the fish and the animals moving around in the aquarium. I love being a mom and being able to watch him explore!

Riding on a four wheeler

On our way home from Abilene we stopped in Stephenville to pick up Ryan. He went with his mama to Derek's football game in Denton on Saturday. So he got to spend some quality time with her and then met us in Stephenville for the drive back. We were all hoping and praying Kylee would come this weekend but she didn't :-( Brent is working out of town through out the week so he's hoping she'll be born on a weekend so he will be there the whole time. None the less, we had fun. Jude rode with dad and mom on a four wheeler. Don't worry we didn't go too fast (according to Ryan) and it was fun and we all survived. 

Jude loves playing with Brady! I am looking forward to seeing them grow up together! They both want whatever the other one is playing with. It's so funny! I love my sweet nephew and I wish we got to see him more. 

Jude's First Show

Jude went to his first show on Saturday night! HSU Sing! His Aunt Katie was in it and we traveled across the state to see her :)

I was a little nervous going into it because I had no idea how Jude was going to behave. The show didn't start until 8 and I knew it was a two hour program. But he did awesome!! He watched and clapped and it was the sweetest thing ever!

Katie was a star! She is so talented and stands out because she's so happy up there! I love my sister and am so proud of her! I look forward to going again next year!! 

After the show Jude was a little on the tiered side. But he still have us a couple of great photos! He also wanted to make sure everyone knew how sotmg he was! It's so funny when he flexes his muscles and you can tell he's working so hard to show off. I love it! 

Jude and I slept at Aunt Katie's. Katie realized she would be a good mom (which I already knew) because she woke up when Jude woke up. He snuggled right up next to Katie at one point and she loved it. I loved it to because I thought it was so precious. 

Fun times with family

The last few days have been so fun! It all started Wednesday night when Grammy, Paw Paw and Maw Maw came to visit! I've been really missing family so it was so good to see them! Jude loves his Paw Paw (and Grammy) and kept whispering Paw Paw while he was holding him. At least that's what it sounded like :) Paw Paw loves taking Jude on walks and on their walk Jude tried to get in the game. 

Jude is really starting to walk good! He walks with his arms straight in front of him (a lot of the time) to keep his balance. Grammy and Paw Paw thought it was so funny, that we bought him a Frankenstein costume and took pictures.

On Fridayafter Ryan got off of work we headed to Granbury. Jude was ready to get out of the car when we got there and immediately began to play with all of GiGis fun toys! Saturday we woke up and headed to Chelsea's baby shower for little Kylee! I made a wreth for the hospital  door when she is born. 

Aunt Katie also came to the shower. She watched Jude and played with him outside. He was happy to see her. 

After the shower we went to Chelsea and Brent's house. Jude and Brady are already so fun to watch. They were throwing and chasing balls around and playing on the train. It's so fun being around them!

It was a much needed family weekend! All that was missing was uncle Clark and Papa. :( 

Fun in the tub

9/19- When Ryan gives Jude a bath, it's not just your everyday normal bath. He gets the jets going with the bubbles. 🛁The water is swirling and making more bubbles the whole time, so by the end Jude is covered in bubbles. Jude loves it though! It is so sweet walking in there and watching them play together! 

9/18- Jude just recently started noticing the bubbles. He picks them up and holds them in his hands. We got to talk to Brady via FaceTime 📲and it was so cute! They both had bubbles and hats. I wish they got to see each other more often. So we are going to try to Facetime more! 

9/17- mom can give fun baths too! I just get in like it's the swimming pool 👙

We made Santa beards🎅 while we were in there and it was silly,silly.
