Game Day Prep

All of Aggieland is excited for tomorrow. First game of the 2013 season. A&M vs Rice! We have lots of visitors here today and I love it! Ben got here first. I was in the middle of sweeping and had to mop while he was here but the floors look good :) we made up our tailgate menu with Ben! Breakfast tacos :) yummmm

Then Josh got here. Right when Josh got here we went on our desperate ways.. Josh and Ben went to pick up dinner (BBQ) and Ryan Jude and I went to Kroger to get food for tomorrow.

Right when we got home from the grocery store Brady Chelsea ad Brent arrived. I was so so excited to see them. Brady gets bigger every time I see him. Jude loved the green beans (good to know because all it was was French cut green beans with some seasoning.) Jude even got to taste a little chopped beef. Loved it! He's such a good eater, when its big kid food and not baby food. Josh and Ben are awesome guests! They did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen after dinner. Wonderful!!

After dinner Brady and Jude took a bath together in my tub. So sweet! They splashed each other and had a good time especially when Ryan started singing the bird song.

Now the house is getting quiet. Jude is asleep, Chelsea and Brent are trying to get Brady asleep and Ben Josh and Ryan are watching football!

Football season has begun and that means lots of visitors and fun times!

Standing alone

Jude stands by himself all the time!! I cannot believe how big he is getting!! On Sunday he actually took two steps toward the ball. He is going to be walking in no time! He turns 9 months on Sunday, he's too small for this! :-) mama talking over here. My little boy is growing up quick!

He also started saying 'ball' on Monday. It is the cutest thing. He loves rolling and throwing the ball!

Jude's littler personality is starting to shine through. Yesterday we went to kohls and as we were walking around he would randomly snort his nose and laugh out loud.

Jude wore his Thomas the Train pjs from Natalie and Joe last night and he looked so handsome!

Luke's 3rd Birthday Weekend

This weekend has been busy, busy. It all started Friday when Grammy, Paw Paw and Maw Maw came to visit. Whenthey  arrived they looked like the Beverly hillbillies. Loaded down with our china cabinet, Maw Maw's walker, suitcases and blankets flying.

We were excited to see them !

We had Cajun casserole for dinner. Yumm! Jude wanted to impress everyone so he started standing alone a lot more while they were here. If he is holding on to something, like a ball, he stands for a long while. Then he slowly sits down. He is very controlled when he does it.
Look at that grip on those toes!

On Saturday, Jude and Paw Paw went on a walk and enjoyed the morning together. They found a golf ball on their journey and I was told he held on to it tight both yesterday and this morning on their walk.

Then it was time to head to The Woodlands! Jude liked holding onto these two rings and watched Baby Signing Time. Luke's birthday was so cute. It was plane themed and Natalie is talented! From invitation to thank you gift everything was planes!

Jude enjoyed the pizza!

Then we went to Joe and Natalie's house. That's where we got to see Leah. Jude and Leah are so cute together. Jude is a week and two days younger than Leah.

They enjoyed playing together.

Jude of course showed off his skills...

We had a great time!!!

This morning I helped lead music at church for the first time. Jude stayed in there while I sang and was precious. Stared at me the whole time. Sweet boy! Gave me the biggest hug when he saw me! I love it!!

We were sad to see Paw Paw, Grammy and Maw Maw come but we sure enjoyed them while they were here!

Lots of pictures this time but they tell they story! A picture is worth a thousand words :)

Early Day

Jude woke up this morning a little before 7. He was sweet though and cuddled with me for a good 30 minutes in bed. Then he was ready to play. We went the Cameron boys house and hung out with our friends Devon, Caleb and Ben.
This picture is of Caleb pointing out Jude's nose. Jude watches Caleb like he is a celebrity. It's so cute! Jude also found a big ball to play with.

It was funny watching him try to pick it up. He is so infatuated with balls. Any size, shape or color. Such a boy!

After our visit to Devon's Jude took a nap and I did some laundry. Boring stuff...

Then we went on a walk...to the grocery store! I needed a few things for dinner and instead of loading Jude up into the car seat to go half a mile I got out the stroller! Some people looked at me a little strange but Jude liked it. Usually in the grocery store he gets squirmy but this time he was just looking all around!
After the grocery store, mama decided she needed some ice cream. Mama had her snack, Jude had his. Cheerios!

Have to start somewhere....

This morning we started the day off right. We went on a walk while it was still breezy. It is so fun walking around the neighborhood seeing new people! We walked 1.7 miles today and I plan on walking several times a week.

Jude is getting so much more active and playful! He loves to pull all the books out of the bookshelf. I am not sure if he's looking for a book in particular or if he just really enjoys doing it. I love watching him look at books. It's like he's really studying what is on the page. And then he finds a book that he thinks will taste good and he puts it in his mouth. He already has five teeth, three on the top into on the bottom. But it looks like he might be trying to get another one since he eats everything. He's also getting a little bit more chunky. He wants anything mommy and daddy are eating, no baby food. Today for lunch we had pancakes, eggs and bacon.  He liked the pancakes they had Cinnamon and vanilla in them. Oh my goodness Jude is standing all by himself right At this very moment. No joke he just stood for probably five seconds not holding onto anything. His balance is getting a lot better! Ryan thinks that he will be walking before he turns 10 months. I had always thought he would be walking before nine months so maybe I'm right considering he is really starting to work on his balance. He is not afraid to go after anything. If a ball rolls under a shelf or under a chair, he goes right for it. He gets on his stomach and goes for it. We are currently playing in his room. I love being in our house! I feel free to go from room to room and play with toys all in the house since it's all on one floor. We play in his room, the living room and our bedroom.

For nap time Jude has started sleeping with the teddy bear Ryan got me for my birthday when we were dating. I guess it smells a little like me. He cuddles right up to it. I think it is so sweet. Nap time is A LOT better this week! He's been taking three naps a day. Usually around 9, 1 and 5. This picture was his 5:00 nap. He gets some sleep so he's ready to play with dad when he gets home. I love it!!

Silly willy started sniffing his nose and making this face! It's hilarious!!

Being that this is the first time I am writing I figured I would just start by talking about our day. My friend Kristin is the one who suggested I do this. And I'm very excited about it!
